When it comes to your orthodontic care, at OoLi Orthodontics we work hard to provide a comprehensive solution to ensure our patients are smiling with confidence at the end of their treatment. We start this thorough process by educating our patients on what options they have, the pros and cons of each, and what Dr. Park recommends as the best solution.
We believe that our patients should know what choices they have to achieve their desired smiles. Whether it’s the kind of braces or the treatment length, our patients are given the information from the beginning to make an informed decision. This not only involves them more in their orthodontic treatment, but also ensures that their new, beautiful smile aligns with their goals at the end of it.
Throughout this education process, we’ve realized that not all of our patients are as concerned with correcting everything about their smiles that can be corrected, as they are with simply straightening their teeth. Because of this, we’ve created two treatment length options for our patients: fast braces and regular braces. The main difference between the two is that fast braces is confined within a 12 month window, where as regular braces will take as much time as needed to perfect your smile. Regular braces is always Dr. Park’s recommended course of action for his patients for a number of reasons.
Regular Braces vs. Fast Braces
As mentioned above, the main difference between our two braces treatment length options are the time frame. Both are offered with all of our braces types: traditional metal braces, Damon braces, Damon Clear braces, and Invisalign.
Fast braces are just what they sound like: an efficient and effective orthodontic solution. But because of the fast nature of this option, we can only correct so much within the 12 month window, leaving other issues you might have going untreated. Most patients who choose this route are more concerned with straightening their teeth rather than fixing all aspects of their smile.
Choosing our regular braces treatment for your orthodontic needs ensures you get the full window needed when it comes to correcting various parts of your smile. With our fast braces, we typically only have enough time to straighten teeth in the 12 month window. This doesn’t give us as much time as we usually need to correct bites, palate issues, and other more intricate orthodontic cases.
With regular braces, we don’t set a limit on how long your treatment lasts. We’re done with the treatment when every aspect of your teeth and smile has been perfected. This ensures the highest level of orthodontic care for our patients since issues they might not have even noticed or thought about will be corrected during their treatment.
Regular braces also ensures that once your teeth move, your bite will still feel comfortable and not cause premature wear on any one tooth from being out of alignment. With no time limit, our fast braces option can give you peace of mind that your smile is the absolute best it can be.
Get the Most Out of Your Braces
A big appeal of regular braces is the obvious fact that the hardware is already on the teeth. This typically results in our patients wanting to check all the boxes their smile needs while they’re already invested in their orthodontic treatment, rather than having some items going untreated and running the possibility of needing future treatment. By correcting all your orthodontic needs, it also reduces a patient’s relapse, or their teeth moving into their original positions.
Regular Braces: The Choice is Yours
At OoLi Orthodontics, we always strive to give our patients all the information they need to make informed decisions about their orthodontic treatment. Our regular braces option is meant to fix everything we can with your smile and is best suited to for the widest variety of cases. Whether you’re looking for a more confident smile, or need more severe issues corrected, our regular braces can do it all, but the choice is ultimately up to you.
While regular braces is Dr. Park’s preferred treatment and most popular option among our patients, some prefer to choose the quicker route of fast braces to achieve a specific goal they have with their smile. If you’re unsure which braces treatment would work best for you, we encourage you to book a free consultation. During your consultation, we take the time to review your goals, orthodontic history, and any concerns you have. Dr. Park will assess whether fast braces is even a recommended option for you. He’ll then present you with all of the information you need to make an informed decision, so you can start your journey to smiling with confidence!
