OoLi’s Orthodontic Consultation Process

At OoLi Orthodontics, we strive to provide every patient with a thorough and comprehensive consultation to ensure you can make an informed decision about your orthodontic treatment. Whether you want traditional braces or a clear aligner alternative like Invisalign, we will assess your specific case, end goals, and avenues of treatment to tailor a unique plan that will leave you smiling with confidence.

We created our orthodontic consultation process to be as informative, relaxing, and quick as possible. You can expect to spend about an hour in our office for your consultation and might even be able to have a same-day start for your treatment, if time permits. Be sure to come with any questions or concerns you have about orthodontic treatments so we can address them – we want to make sure you’re confident every step of the way.

Beginning Your Orthodontic Consultation

Whether you booked your consultation online or called us to schedule, we always try to collect as much information as possible before your consultation begins. This includes your orthodontic history, medical history, and insurance coverage, if any. Having all of this information gathered beforehand will help your orthodontic consultation process go as smoothly and quickly as possible! We even have online forms to make it easier than ever for our patients to submit their information before they come in for their appointment.

Once we ensure we have all the necessary information collected, our orthodontic consultation process starts with a tour around our office so you can see where your treatment will take place, and get comfortable in our vibrant and relaxing atmosphere we hope to create.

In the meantime, a member of the OoLi Team will then start reviewing your information, and may review some of the information with you briefly at the conclusion of your tour, prior to seeing Dr. Park. This may include discussing why you’re seeking orthodontic treatment, what you hope to achieve through braces or Invisalign, and answering any questions you have. They will also take photographs and may even take x-rays during this stage for Dr. Park to review.

Treatment Review – Braces or Invisalign – or BOTH?

The OoLi Team member assisting you will then give Dr. Park your photographs and x-rays to analyze. He will review the findings with you and walk you through his recommended treatment plan – or plans, if he assesses that you have multiple options. If you have any questions or concerns about what Dr. Park suggests, be sure to address them. Dr. Park wants all of his patients to feel comfortable and informed about their orthodontic plan. One of our dental hygienists will then provide a cost of the treatment. The cost of braces and its variants, like Invisalign, can vary based largely on the severity of the case, but most of our patients fall in the $4,500-$6,500 range.

Although that price range might seem like a lot, we try to make our orthodontic plans as affordable as possible. Many insurance companies now cover braces, so we recommend checking with your provider to see how much of the cost of treatment is covered. We can even check with your insurance provider for you and process any forms you submit. We will help in any way we can to ensure you get maximum coverage.

If you don’t have insurance, we also offer affordable financing options! We offer 0% interest financing and accept all major credit cards. At OoLi Orthodontics, there are no hidden fees—everything is included in your financial package. We will do our best to work with you to find a financing option that will fit your specific treatment plan.

Consultation End Result

Depending on what plan Dr. Park recommends for your orthodontic treatment, our patients either choose to start their treatment same day (if time permits), or take time to think about it and schedule a start date later. There are certain factors that could delay the start of your treatment, though. If you haven’t had a dentist cleaning in over 6 months, have cavities that need to be filled, or any other outstanding dentistry need, we will need to delay the start of your treatment until those are resolved. We almost always require a clearance from a dentist to ensure your teeth are healthy enough for your prescribed orthodontic treatment.
